MUSEO FRIDA KAHLO
Day of the Dead Altar For them: a candle, a flower and a bread
The Altar of the year 2019 was an installation by the artist Betsabeé Romero, who collected the libertarian spirit of Frida. This offering paid tribute to those who have struggled to give Mexicans a voice in the face of life and death.
Frida was a revolutionary woman in many ways. She expressed herself freely and without social ties. Intellectually restless, open and charismatic, she loved the art of the original cultures of Mexico. She established equitable relationships with humble and wealthy people, politicians, artists, compatriots and foreigners, men and women; was always inclusive.
