HELP THE FRIDA KAHLO- BLUE HOUSE MUSEUM

Due to the actual critical crisis we are living in Mexico caused by the Virus H1N1, and following the health authorities´ recommendations, we found ourselves in the need to close the Museum doors.
This action has had an impact on the Museum’s incomes. It is a non governmental organization; we survive principally by the entrance incomes. 80% of our visitors come from abroad. These take us to ask for your help so we can continue working, open the Museum’s doors and continue in our collection rescue and conservation labours. We contact you, admirers of the work and life of Frida Kahlo, requesting in an urgent manner your help through donations.

For mexican bank deposits:
Banamex
Banco de México Fideicomiso Museos Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo

Those who generously help us come through this crisis with an up to 1,000 dlls or 800 euro donations; we offer recognition in our website placing your name in a “thank you” spot. To those who help us with more than 1,000 dlls we will place their names in a thank plaque that will be placed at the Museum.

The Frida Kahlo Museum, also known as The Blue House, is located in one of the most beautiful and antique neighbourhoods in Mexico City. Among its walls Frida and Diego created their universe. Each corner reflects the creative inspiration of both artists. When someone studies in depth Fridas´work and as well has the opportunity to know her home, one discovers the strong relation that exists among Frida, her work and house.  Her creative universe is at the Blue House, place in which she was born, lived and died.
